(PhillyIMC). PhillyIMC provides in-depth news coverage of Philadelphia
and its surrounding areas as well as reports and commentary about
national and international issues.
KillRadio
www.killradio.org
KillRadio emerged from the seminal seafoam that the Dems sprayed upon LA in the summer of aughty-aught; just a couple of weeks after Volta sprang from the loin of the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia. And with their nonstop genre defying playlist and pretty pretty website, we would do well to imitate our sisters in Los Angeles. Long live the Southland (except the Lakers). Long live KillRadio.
Prometheus Radio Project
www.prometheusradio.org
Prometheus Radio Project has played a key role in the struggle
to get licenses for community radio stations. Prometheus
practices
a mixture of research, advocacy, activism and direct services to
organizations that want to start radio stations on the newly won
rules for neighborhood radio. We offer internships to students
who
would like to help in our work, and who want the opportunity to
develop their skills in radio and media activism. Interns will
have
the opportunity to work on the many aspects of our project,
ranging
from closely supervised work to independent projects.
